7 April 2016

Soldier Dog brings you on an emotional roller coaster. It is set during World War I, where fourteen year old Stanley shows remarkable courage and determination to succeed and eventually triumph in the face of adversity. His world is turned upside down when his mother unfortunately dies and his heart-broken father struggles to cope with her loss. His father, devastated by the rough hand life has dealt him barely talks to his son, but from the bottom of his broken heart he loves him dearly.

Stanley finally loses patience with his father and one day, fearing his Dad has "drowned" his beloved dog Soldier, he runs away to the treacherous War to enlist as a dog trainer. He later discovers his older brother Tom is on leave and his father has gone missing. Stanley is torn. Will Stanley leave the loyal dog he has proudly trained and return home to find Tom and Dad? What will his next move be? Will the family be reunited? Find out when you read this heart-moving book! I would definitely rate this book 10 stars!
