Out December 27
Wrestling fans will easily recognise the star of this movie, as WWE legend John Cena swaps the canvas for the cameras … and doesn’t disappoint, it must be said.
Playing the part of Jake Carson, a strict fire superintendent, ‘Supe’ (his nickname) along with his elite fire-fighting squad, end up having to babysit three kids they rescue from a burning cabin.
The three children explain how they were left on own while their parents had to go somewhere. As a result, Supe and his men agree to let the kids stay at the firehouse until their folks return. And this, ladies and gentlemen, is where the fun begins!
Playing With Fire will not win an Oscar, or make many Top Ten lists, but this doesn’t stop it from being a very funny and enjoyable film.
As you can imagine, the tough guys turn out to be not so tough, while the wild kids turn out to be not so wild.
If you like light-hearted comedy and rate Home Alone gags as movie gold, then Playing With Fire might just be the one for you.
