Thor: Ragnarok - Out October 27, 2017

The Crown Prince of Asgard is back, and this time everything is different. His hair, his clothes, his surroundings, he’s even found a sense of humour to replace his all-powerful hammer, Mjolnir!

Thor: Ragnarok is set four years after the events of Thor: The Dark World and two years after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Ragnarok is famous in Norse mythology as  the destruction of the gods and of all things in a final battle with the evil powers ... which basically means the end of the world.

Thor (once again played to perfection by Chris Hemsworth) is being held captive on the planet Sakaar and must fight his old friend the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) so that he can return to Asgard and stop the horrible Goddess of Death, Hela (played by multi-Oscar winner Cat Blanchett) and the impending Ragnarok.

As with all the Marvel movies of late, this movie packs quite the punch in the special effects and epic battle stakes. It also rates high in the humour stakes, which is surprising for Thor, as sarcasm and irony are normally wasted on him.

Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) is back and this time he is King of Asgard – he hasn’t been the best of rulers for Asgard, as he is too selfish and spiteful to be a good ruler – which means he and Thor have to join forces to defeat Hela.

Movie fans will like this – Marvel/Avengers fans will love it.
