Hello, everyone, and welcome to this week's NEWS FLASH HOMEWORK CLUB!

Ok, so, for those of you who are new to this, it's quite simple -- below are your four activites for the week. One is audio (the weekly quiz), while the other two involve reading and writing. You can do one, do some, or do all. It's really up to you -- especially if your teacher has not given you a list. They won't take too long, and you will be able to find out how you did every Friday, when we post the answers in an audio post - just like the quiz - from 9 A.M. onwards.

So, click on the pictures below to access the activities ... and enjoy!

Read through the words in the orange box first and make sure you understand them. Then, read through the article. Make sure you think about the best place to put a word, not the first place. Careful as you go, as some words may fit in more than one place,
while other words will only suit one.

Someone once wrote: ‘If you want to be  ______________ for life, become a gardener.’

This month, in the Hobby Corner, we want to take you _____________ and into a very special place – your garden!

Now, If grass or, better yet, weeds is all you can see, then you need to look harder and with ________________ imagination, as the garden is one of the few _________________  where you can let your imagination run wild and yet see something real in return.

Yes, gardens are great for many things – playing football, setting up your ______________ , playing chase – the list goes on. But did you know, the garden is one of the easiest places to spend ____________ and hours? And all you need are a few seeds, a spade and a drop of water.

Have you ever grown anything – maybe you do all the time? If not, then now is the time to start. From yummy _______________ to juicy tomatoes, and from muddy spuds to sprawling peas, you will soon see that gardening is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding _____________ there is to do.

And best of all – you can do it with your 2-year-old sister as well as your 102-year-old granddad!

In this month's issue, we invite you to design a poster based on 2021. Hopefully after reading this month's feature on all the good things coming up this year, that hardest part will be choosing which one to design your poster on. Remember, a good poster can be a powerful way of connecting with people.

In this month's pack we have a Pixel Art Worksheet from ColoringSquared.com for you to enjoy. Follow the colour key below to reveal a hidden Pixar character. Careful with your subtracting!
