Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio

Yet another director who is known for his masterful filmmaking, Guillermo del Toro has now turned his hand to the story of the wooden boy called Pinocchio. It’s a beautiful tale for the ages where we all learn the true meaning of life.

The carpenter Geppetto lost his son during the Great War. But, with the help of an anthropomorphic cricket named Sebastian and a blue wood sprite, he manages to create a new son out of wood. A diffcult time follows for young Pinocchio as he struggles to find his feet in the human world, all the while trying desperately not to disappoint his father Geppetto.

Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio is a magical tale told beautifully through stop-motion animation and the genius that it is del Toro.
